Created with an almost unrecognizable version of Grand Theft Auto IV, The Lonely Migrant is a meditation on transience, mirage, and illusion. A man slowly walks toward the Promised Land, but the reality he encounters is very different from what he imagined.
LES RICHES DOUANIERS (FRANCE)
Les Riches Douaniers sono Gilles Richard e Fabrice Zoll, due artisti francesi che collaborano dal 2000. Nell’ultimo decennio, hanno creato una serie di machinima, film animati e cortometraggi. Hanno partecipato a numerosi festival, tra cui il Digital Arts Festival di Atene, il Film Festival di Manila, il New Media Arts Festival di Hong Kong, Atopic, ARSGAMES e molti altri. Le loro opere hanno ricevuto numerosi riconoscimenti, tra cui il primo premio al Machinima Film Festival di New York nel 2008. Les Riches Douaniers svolgono inoltre attività didattiche e divulgative.
Les Riches Douaniers are Gilles Richard and Fabrice Zoll, two French artists who began a collaboration in 2000. They have been producing machinima, animated films, and shorts since 2005. They participated in numerous festivals, including Athens Digital Arts Festival, Manila Film Festival, Hong Kong New Media Arts Festival, Atopic, ARSGAMES and many more. Their work has been awarded at Machinima Festival in New York in 2008. They also give lectures about their practice with games.
